Automated Lab Temperature Monitoring
Real-time temperature monitoring for fridges, freezes and ambient environments built for pathology and healthcare settings. No manual checks. No extra hardware. No hassle.

The Smarter, Simpler Way to Monitor Every Environment
Temperature excursions aren’t just inconvenient, they can compromise patient safety, delay diagnoses, and jeopardise compliance.
BinaryMed simplifies temperature compliance with a fully automated solution that monitors fridges, freezers, and ambient conditions across every site.
Whether you’re managing a single fridge or hundreds of collection centres, we make compliance effortless with wireless IoT devices and a powerful cloud platform.
Lab Temperature Monitoring That Reduces Risk and Saves Time
Reduce Compliance Risk
With automated, verifiable records aligned to ISO 15189:2023, you can ensure full compliance with less effort and less stress.
Prevent Sample Loss
Get notified the moment a fridge fails or a temperature threshold is breached. Early alerts mean you can act fast to protect sensitive specimens before they’re compromised.
Eliminate Manual Work
Stop chasing paper logs and chasing down missed checks. BinaryMed automates temperature monitoring and reporting so your team can focus on patient care, not admin.
Simplify Audits
No more scrambling during NATA or UKAS inspections. Every reading is automatically logged, timestamped and traceable, giving you instant audit readiness.
Improve Patient Outcomes
By ensuring samples are stored at the right conditions 24/7, you reduce delays, retesting, and diagnostic errors that can negatively impact patient care.
Cut Infrastructure Costs
No gateways, Wi-Fi networks or IT setup needed. Our IoT devices connect straight to the cloud and work anywhere there’s mobile coverage, even during power outages.
Why Other Methods Fall Short
Manual temperature checks and traditional data loggers come with major limitations and introduce risks.
Manual Logging
Prone to missed checks, human error, or falsified entries.
USB Data Loggers
Temperature breaches are only seen after the damage is done and by then it’s too late.
Wi-Fi Loggers
Require routers, gateways, ongoing IT support or extra infrastructure leading to additional costs.
BinaryMed Gives You
Real-Time Visibility
Monitor live temperature and humidity data 24/7 from any device, anywhere.
Instant Alerts
Receive immediate sms and email notifications if temperature thresholds are breached.
Automated Reports
Automatically generate temperature logs and compliance reports, no spreadsheets, no manual formatting.
Plug-and-Play Setup
Enjoy the simplest and fastest way to start monitoring temperatures. Our hassle-free setup requires no LIS integrations, power points, or other hardware.
Full-Service Support
We provide expert training, and ongoing support to ensure optimal use of the lab temperature monitoring system.
Built-In Connectivity
Each device includes its own 5G-compatible SIM, delivering direct-to-cloud uploads without relying on Wi-Fi or local network infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our devices can monitor fridges, freezers, and ambient room conditions across collection centres, labs, and other healthcare environments.
In the event of a network outage, the devices store data locally and automatically upload it when the connection is restored. Alert settings can notify you if an upload fails due to network issues.
Since the devices are battery-operated, they will remain functional during a power outage.
Data is logged every 5 minutes by default, with uploads scheduled every few hours. Both logging and upload intervals are fully configurable. Devices will also upload instantly if a temperature threshold is breached.
Alerts are sent via email or SMS immediately after each data upload if preset conditions are met. With a maximum upload interval of 5 minutes, you can receive notifications within 5 minutes of a detected event.
